William Marshall establishes office furniture business at 23rd & South St. in Philadelphia.
1905
The business becomes a manufacturers rep for safe and vault manufacturers located along the Delaware River in Philadelphia.
1921
H. Harland Wilson, after his US Navy service in WWI, marries William’s daughter Mildred Marshall and joins his father-in-law’s business and opens a safe store across the street on South St.
1946
Richard Wilson joins the company at age 21 after his US Navy service in WWII, becoming an expert safecracker, and supplying banks and commercial accounts while earning a degree at the Wharton School at night.
1950
Wilson Safe moves from South St. to Lansdowne, PA due to expansion.
1985
Ray Wilson graduates from Franklin & Marshall College and joins the family business full-time.
1986
Property on Island Ave. Philadelphia is purchased and a new building is con-structed housing showroom, offices and warehouse.
1994
An addition to the warehouse was built to accommodate the demand from multi-location national retailers.
1999
CashTrak electronic bill validating safes by Ellenby introduced and distributed.
2000
ATM division formed for the sale, service and processing of ATM transactions.
2006
A second warehouse addition built to support customers’ international growth.
2010
Wilson Safe is recognized as a Pennsylvania Centennial Company.
2015
Introduced the LEGION brand of gun safes
