120 years of protecting what matters most.
Wilson Safe has been a Philadelphia family business since 1905. Four generations have sold, installed, moved, repaired and cracked open safes across the country — and the company still answers its own phone at three in the morning.
Why it still matters
Old safes do not come with a parts catalog.
We have worked on equipment from every major American manufacturer since 1905 — which is why we can usually open a safe without damaging it, and source parts for models that were discontinued decades ago.

Timeline
From office furniture to bank vaults.
1903
William Marshall opens an office furniture business in Philadelphia.
1905
The business becomes a manufacturers’ representative for safe and vault makers. This is the year the company counts from.
1921
H. Harland Wilson joins after naval service in the First World War, marries the owner’s daughter, and opens a dedicated safe store.
1946
Richard Wilson builds the commercial accounts and becomes an expert safecracker, while earning a Wharton degree.
1950
Expansion forces a move to Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.
1985–1994
Ray Wilson joins full time after Franklin & Marshall College. The warehouse is expanded three times.
1999
CashTrak electronic bill-validating safes are introduced.
2010
Pennsylvania recognizes Wilson Safe as a Centennial Company.
2015
The LEGION brand of gun safes launches.
